February 2010

So here we are at the end of February... Alot has happened we are still in the process of moving back down to California and I can not be more excited. Amy absolutely loves Disneyland and having her grandparents around at all times. II have to admit that although it is not always easy I love having my parents around all the time too! So I guess we should start by saying Happy Belated Valentines Day to everyone.. This Valentines Day was a great one, my parents took the girls to the zoo and Dave and I went out to breakfast..Dave went back to Vegas and I did stuff for my sister in law Kristy baby shower...speaking of her baby shower.. things went well Thanks to Nicole and JAckie and my mom.... I can plan a party but I am such a procrastinator ( that is why for Nicoles 30th birthday party I have already done all of my responsibilities). Kristy is due in May and I CAN NOT wait for that little girl to come out!!!... I will not bore you with the I am gonna be an Auntie song....

So now back to the move... CAN NOT wait for Dave to get the show on the road.. today was his last day with the company and he was a little sad.. some drama at the end but hey things happen for a reason right?
Well for alll of our Cali people we will see ya soon!

Baby no name is here....

So after 8 very quick months of having this little girl with no name I am proud to announce that after 18 hours of labor Addison Marie Pontecorvo has arrived safe and sound! Addison was born on Januray 6 2010 at 5:48 p.m. 6 pounds 8 oz. 18 inches long.
She got to come home with us only to end up back in the hospital becuase she stopped breathing! All is well now and she is home and safe and best of all HEALTHY. She is a wonderful addition to our family, (all we have to do is convince her sister of this) and the best part of all is that she sleeps most of the night.. whooohooo!!!!

November/ December

So Thanksgiving was so cool! We had dinner at Daves parents and left the next day to Big Bear... Joined by the Honnold family we went tubing and down the alpine slides (at least they all did, I very pregnantly watched). On Saturday morning we awoke to lots of snow on the ground wich sent all the visitors into a frenzy of chain buying(including us). We bought chains and stuff to play in the snow and enjoyed just hanging out with family.. It was a cool Holiday.

Christmas was fun... we went to Daves parents for Christmas Eve and my parents on Christmas morning/day... Amy got to open her presents with the best present being a ride on motorcycle ( with a side car) generously given by Uncle Corey. After Christmas started baby countdown.... all were waiting very impatiently for baby no name to arrive...

October 2009

So Summer pretty much came and went we had some great times at the river, especially when the motor fell off but all in all it went well.We had Halloween at Daves sisters house and that was so fun Amy got to trick or treat with her cousins and even got to meet her Aunt Julie for the first time.

Sorry took so long!!!!

So August is upon us and so much has happened! Amy is growing up so fast and boy is she smart... sometimes her dad I look at each other and just shake our heads and laugh cause that is all we can do. She is always on the go and climbs on everything......my nephew Autsin said it perfect when he said... "Amy is like spider man"! Her dad and I have nick named her crazy baby..... Speaking of crazy... we are expecting another little angel in February but due to my body's unwillingness to cooperate during pregnancy we are expecting a begining of January baby!
After a lot of planning and decision making we have decided to move back to California, my parents offered us a deal that we could just NOT refuse.... So Amy, myself and baby in utero will move back sometime in September while Dave will move back sometime in Febrauary! We are really excited to move back and to be able to spend time with our friends...
So even after all the excitement of moving and sucessfull baby making we had plenty of time for our favorite place... THE RIVER..... we went almost every weekend in June and July ... we mostly went with our good friends the Shueys but we threw in a few weekends with Dave's and My family... we even managed to throw in two adult weekends (one resulting in our little miracle arriving in January). This month, although just starting, has brought heartache to my family.... as my little brother (Justin)and his wife (Kristy) lost a baby, it is very upsetting and although it is probably hard for them to hear ..I firmly believe that good things come out of tragedy ( Amy is proof) I just wish happiness for them both.
The rest of August should be a little bit of a slow down for us.. we do not have any river trips planned just packing up the house. So sorry it took so long to get this done but hey time flies when you are chasing spider man !!!!!!!!!!!!

So it is here again...a holiday that I once used to hate...now it is still not my favorite but I had a blast today... Amy and I took a nap together and when we woke up She finger painted for the first time and it was so fun! I now have framed art... such a happy mom.!!!! I also took some time to reflect on the past and what we lost and it is stilll sad and still stings but every year it gets better! Amy sure does help take the sting out... she is sure a happy baby and Iam so proud to be her momma. So i posted some pictures of my daughters masterpiece... enjoy!!!!

Amy's Birthday

So here it is One year later and it is Crazy. Amy's birthday parties were a sucess...minor porblems but we managed to get through them! Amy's first party held and Grandma Gerritses house was really fun! It was an advneturous day filled with pony rides, a petting zoo, a jumper, cotton candy, bubbles and faces full of delicious cake ( made by Auntie Nicole). Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves as did the birthday girl and her parents. On Amy's actual birthdaywe spent the day at he park with Grandma Gerritse and at night we celebrated by inviting some family and friends over for some good food and cake.. no petting zoo's or pony rides just a relaxing night with all the people, minus a few who could not make it, that we love and care about.

NOW the parties are over and I am left with this crazy little person that I love so much and I realize that she is growing up.... so I ask myself How the hell did this happen? She was so samll and now she is so big and independent. I knew this was going to happen! but nothing prepared me for the feeling of my baby growing up... so I did what every good mother would do....I went to her crib where she was sleeping and I took her out and rocked her in my arms. Whoa do I feel better now....she still loves me and boy does she still love her daddy....maybe she is not that grown up yet?
